Happy Birthday, Ma!

Hmmm...I remembered a story once told by my mother a few women who were very, very poor. She had a toddler, a boy, whom she decided to offer a far better life. So she worked very, very hard and made tons of sacrifices, and made sure that he receives an honest education.
Years passed and therefore the boy grew up to be a fine, young man. He was excellent in his pursuits and was a well-liked figure in town. Seeing how successful her son had become, the mother felt very happy and glad that the sacrifices she made were all worthwhile. The mother continued to figure very hard because they were still very poor.
One day, the son was offered an edge as a high-ranking officer on a ship that comes with lucrative pay. The mother decided that it had been best for her son to require up the offer and explore the limitless opportunities waiting to be discovered. Her son felt sad but dutifully took her advice. After a final meal together, she bade him farewell at the port and saw him sailing off with the ship.
Years glided by and therefore the mother was now alone. Every day she waited by the port for her precious son to return. She kept herself busy by working and dealing. It seemed that she never pack up. She would only spend a touch of the cash she earned on her basic needs and kept the remainder for her son's keeping.
She did receive a couple of letters from him at the start. But now she had no news of him. She was worried that something bad may need to befall him. She went around asking everybody, anybody for her son's whereabouts but nobody could tell her. She continued to attend at the port, her heart aching more with each passing day as hopes of her son's return faded away.
And then, the ship that her son boarded years ago appeared. because the ship docked itself, the gang waved and cheered noisily as if welcoming a hero's return. the lady frantically searches for her son amongst the people disembarking from the ship.
She had never felt so excited and happy before. Finally, she saw him. She could recognize him although he looked older with the beard and everyone. She thought he looked very successful from the way he was dressed. She called bent him but he didn't seem to listen to her. Pushing her way through the gang, she finally needs to him. As she tucked on his coat, he rotated and gave her a brief glance. it had been as if he didn't recognize his mother. He turned back and continued his way.
The woman tried to stay up together with her son. She kept calling his name and every time she was within touching distance, she tucked on his coat. the person turned and scolded her and declared that he didn't know her. Sensing that he was ashamed to be related to her and trying to urge obviate her, she became grief-stricken. Her heart broke into 1,000,000 pieces because the situation kept replaying in her mind.
In a loud, ear-piercing voice, she laid a curse on her son that he will become stone for his unfilial behavior. Suddenly, the person froze in his tracks, and have become paralyzed sort of stone. Seeing what she had done to her son, the lady also met her tragic end by throwing herself into the ocean.
Well, the moral of the story is to recollect your mother. She brought you into this world and for this reason, it's sinful to disown your own mother. I wish there was a far better ending to the present story, sort of a happily after quite a thing, but maybe it goes to point out that the planet we sleep in is often very cold and heartless.
All folks were born into this world on our respective birthdays. a number of us were born under better circumstances and a few weren't. Jesus was born during a stable. In my mother's case, she was born during a hut within the middle of a rubber plantation. My grandmother gave birth to her while performing on that day, I think. Soon after birth, the subsequent day, my grandmother went back to figure again.
My mother also wont to tell me the story of the villagers fleeing from the Japanese soldiers during the WWII invasion. As she was still a baby then, she was left hidden within the ditch or drain. Fortunately, for her (and me as well), she didn't make a sound and therefore the Japanese didn't notice her. An angel must be watching over her. I do not know if she is aware that an angel remains watching over her till today, hahahaha. As they assert, God is mysterious in His ways.
So what's so happy a few birthdays anyway? Most babies cry at delivery. Some get slapped on their butts as soon as they arrive in this world. which is the least humiliating treatment for a traditional birth baby. Others would be put into some kind of chamber for all times sustenance.
Apart from the very fact that commercial retailers stand to take advantage of the birthday merchandise and therefore the opportunities to party, what happiness do birthday celebrations bring?
I think the solution lies during this.
If, for a flash, we will ditch all the small print that accompanies arranging a celebration for the birthday boy or girl (because we will stray in details), allow us to ask ourselves why can we appreciate them being during this world, our world. In what special ways have they filled our lives? Did they carry us companionship during an otherwise lonely world? Did they carry us joy in a world that has begun to look mundane and monotonous? Did they provide us a way of purpose once we were feeling the emptiness of life? Did they create us realize that we've inner strength which we will depend on to summon the best challenges in our lives? Did they show us how little patience we've and ruinous we will become?
Therefore, we are those who should be happy. Happy that we become better persons too through our relationship with them. We are happy, year in, year out because we all know them, we all know ourselves better. whether or not they are six years old or sixty-five years old, age isn't the measure - it's the experience they carry, that have enriched our lives, that's relevant.
If you're happy due to them, then it's a very happy occasion. it's a cause for celebration. it's the smallest amount we will do to point out our appreciation for the blessings they need to be delivered to us. a number of them might not are born during this world under pleasant circumstances but we will change the very fact for them. the simplest gifts you'll give to them, are often an easy gesture of affection and care. Something which will touch their hearts even as they need to touch yours.
Well, I'm happy then I wish my mother a really Happy Birthday!
